Members present: Maxine Divine, Mary Benson, Carol Scidmore and Chris Ferguson. Absent: John Francisco, Harlan Hawkins and Martha Carter. Also present: Barb Coward.
Meeting called to order by Maxine Divine at 7:07 p.m.
May 18, 2011 minutes read. Mary Benson made a motion to approve May 18, 2011 minutes. Chris Ferguson seconded the motion. Voice vote and all in favor. Minutes stand as approved.
May 2011 treasurer's report reviewed. Carol Scidmore made a motion to approve the expenditures of $21,965.34 for May. Chris Ferguson seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Chris Ferguson-aye, Mary Benson-aye, Maxine Divine-aye, and Carol Scidmore-aye. Motion carried.
Annual Reports FY May 1, 2010 to April 30, 2011 reviewed and signed.
Revised Budget 2011-2012 presented for review. Mary Benson made a motion to approve the Revised Budget 2011-2012 as of 3/21/11. Carol Scidmore seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Chris Ferguson-aye, Mary Benson-aye, Maxine Divine-aye, and Carol Scidmore-aye. Motion carried.
The librarian's report for May not available.
OLD BUSINESS:
Library Planning/Dr. Fred Schlipf - Table.
Hearing of Citizens - None.
Per Capita requirements & Grant - Will write Per Capita grant again.
Friends of Cortland Library - Not meeting. Book sale made $600-$800.
Book Club - Doing well. Next movie may be viewed at library instead of going to the theatre.
Fiber Optic/DATA grant - Town wants a lot of money for the hookup so it may not happen.
Sign and repair costs- Bill for sign repair is $1,800. May only have to pay for part of repair cost.

System Merger - Not going well.
PrairieCat status and costs - Costs will go up 5%.
LACONI - Hopefully workshops available later on.
Future trustee workshops/legal & financial/coming fall & winter.
Summer Reading - 248 signed up for Summer Reading.

OMNI report & progress of this new offering
New 'Partnerships' & outreach (Laura)
Summer Sounds/phonemic awareness (Teri Pardridge) - No one showed on Monday. Good turnout on Wednesday.
Levy for 2011-2012 (in report to Town of Cortland) - Asking for $290,000. Amount received will likely be lower.
Barb Coward discussed possible legal action against a patron.
Chris Ferguson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mary Benson seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
